Bruno Walpoth
Born in 1959 in Ortisei (Bz), where he currently lives and works.
Educated at the Fine Arts Academy in Munich, Walpoth taught sculpture at the Professional School in Selva di Val Gardena until 2008.
Walpoth works with the human figure in the tradition of wooden sculpture; his subjects fit into space in a theatrical, profoundly communicative way, revealing melancholic expressions and faces distorted by emotion. His bodies are static and highly realistic.
Walpoth has participated in a number of Archive, primarily in Austria and Germany.
